It’s a busy morning here, as we are getting ready to go down to Manjimup for the weekend, but I thought I would pop in really quickly to share a shaker card with you all before we leave.
To create this card, I started by cutting down a panel of white cardstock just slightly smaller than my actual card base. Next I stamped my sentiment onto the panel in silver ink, before placing the triangle dies around it and die cutting them out. After sticking down some clear acetate to the back of the panel, I then stuck down some adhesive foam around each triangle to make it look like each triangle was a separate shaker element, before filling them in with some pastel coloured sequins. I then stuck a piece of plain white cardstock to the back to secure the sequins, before then sticking the shaker element down onto my card base.
I find by sticking a piece of matching cardstock to the back of the shaker element rather than the actual card base, makes it easier to line up the shaker element perfectly straight when sticking it down onto the card base.
Thanks for taking the time to visit today, I better get going and start packing the car!
Have a great day!
