Taylored Expressions: Share Joy Challenge #4

Hello Friends

This week has gone by way too fast. I can’t believe it’s Thursday again already! That means it is time for a new Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge!

Here’s the new challenge graphic for you.

I chose to play along with the CAS style and created a fun pink and gold themed birthday card for a good friend of mine.

Birthday Pinwheels Card

I used the cute Little Bits – Pinwheel die to create the fun pinwheels on my card. This die is the perfect size for cards and it’s so easy to assemble the pinwheel once you die cut the shape! I die cut them from some patterned paper from the Fancy That collection by My Mind’s Eye. After assembling them, I used a clear rhinestone brad to hold it in place.

Next I stamped and heat embossed my sentiment from the Free Spirit stamp set. To get the two colours of embossing powder on the sentiment, I started by carefully pouring the gold embossing powder only on the birthday text and then did the same again with the pink embossing powder. Once it was heat set, I then added my pinwheels to the front of my card using a hot glue gun, before adding some gold enamel dot embellishments.

I hope you all can play along with us this week. To link up your projects and for all the challenge details, click here.

Have fun!
