This week’s challenge is a sketch and a gorgeous Christmas inspiration photo. I chose to use the photo for my card and created a heat embossed bauble Christmas tree, to send to someone on my Christmas card list this year.
I created this CAS card by sticking to a silver colour scheme and making a triangular-shaped mask from a piece of scratch paper. I placed the mask over my card base and stamped the ornaments from the set in it, using watermark ink. I then stamped my sentiment under the ‘tree’ and heat embossed everything with silver metallic embossing powder.
To finish of the card I added some silver rhinestones and enamel dots for extra embellishment and bling. I had so much fun playing with this technique that I really want to try it again using different Christmas themed shapes!
I hope you can play along this week. The photo inspiration is too pretty not to be inspired by!
Have a wonderful day.
