I hope you are enjoy the weekend so far. Here we are having some nice sunny days so far this winter but it’s still quite cold during the nights! I just wish it would rain already as we need the water!
Sorry I’ve been a bit slack with posting lately. My grandfather is terminally ill at the moment so we have been travelling back and forth to the country to see him as much as we can before he passes. I don’t think he has much time left unfortunately, so it’s been quite an upsetting time here lately, so please bear with me as we get through this.
Anyway, last night I spent some time in the craft room to take my mind of things and put together a card for the current MFT Stamps sketch challenge. Here is the sketch:
For my card I played along with the super cute Knight in Shining Armor stamp set, and coloured in the sweet little knight with some copic markers (colours linked below).
To create this card I started by stamping and colouring the knight using copic markers, before die cutting him out. I then die cut a wonky stitched circle and a fishtail banner frame as per the sketch and stuck them down onto my card base. I then die cut out some glitter clouds and together with the knight I stuck them onto my card using some adhesive foam. Next I stamped my sentiment onto some plain cardstock before using a fishtail banner die to cut it out. I trimmed the banner a little as it was quite long, before also adhering that to my card base using adhesive foam. Finally, I embellished the card with some sparkling clear sequins in place of a piece of cardstock as per the sketch.
I was definitely out of my comfort zone a bit with this card but I love how it turned out. I hope this inspires you to play along with the challenge also.
Thank you so much for stopping by and all your support. It means a lot during this difficult time.
Enjoy your weekend.
