Make A Wish Shaker Card

Are you all enjoying the weekend? It’s been a tiring one here as my girls have a virus again so there hasn’t been much sleep happening in this house lately! Thankfully, today they seem to be a lot better so let’s hope tonight is a good one!

Today, I’m sharing a simple shaker card I created for a birthday. This card uses a wish sentiment die I received from Taylored Expressions as a free gift with an order, so I haven’t been able to link it as it doesn’t seem to be on their website.

Anyway, I thought if you receive dies like this, I thought I would show you an idea on how to use them! So on to today’s card.

Using the wish die, I die cut the sentiment from a panel of plain white cardstock which I had cut down to the same size as my card base. I then stamped the ‘make a’ sentiment just above the die cut sentiment before adhering some acetate to the back of it to create a window. Next I framed the back of it with adhesive foam to make my shaker. I then filled the shaker with some Rainbow Bright sequins (also from Taylored Expressions) and white seed beads, before sticking my card base to the back of it.  Finally I glued some of the same sequins to the front of my card along with a couple of rhinestone stars for more embellishment.

I hope this has inspired you to use those freebie dies in a new way?

Thank you for stopping by today and enjoy what is left of your weekend!
