Magical Princess Birthday

Hi There

How has your week been? School has started again so that means I now have more time to get creative and catch up on computer work while the kids are out of the house!

Yesterday, I sat down and created a birthday card for the current sketch challenge over at MFT Stamps. Here is a look at this week’s sketch.

For my card I chose to use the Once Upon a Time stamp set to create a whimsical birthday card perfect for a young girl.

I started by cutting a smaller panel of cardstock than my card base and die cut a circle from the edge as per the sketch. I then repeated that step so I could create a mask to put onto my card base and then ink blend a circle onto it. I used yellow and pink coloured inks to blend together creating an almost peachy look. I then stamped, coloured and die cut my princess before adhering the die cut panel to my card base and the princess, using adhesive foam. I then stamped some white hearts around the princess. For my sentiment I used the ‘Happy Birthday’ from the You’re the Sweetest stamp set which I then die cut out using a die from the Fishtail Banner Stax. Finally I embellished the card with some sparkling clear sequins.

Time for me to get some more crafting done but thank you for stopping by!

Have a wonderful day.
