I hope you all had a wonderful New Years day? Ours was low-key as we pretty much spent it at home together staying out of this shocking heat!
Over the next few days I thought I would share the last of my Christmas cards with you, before I start inundating you all with Valentine’s Day cards over the next month! Lol
Today’s card is a CAS style card featuring an inlaid die cut sentiment. If you recall my Reindeer Gift Tag that I posted about a few days ago, well this is the matching card I created.
This, like the tag was also really simple to create. I started off by die cutting the ‘holidays’ part of my sentiment from a panel of cardstock the same size as my card base. I then glued it down to my card base and stamped the ‘happy’ just above it. Next I die cut the ‘holidays’ sentiment again from some gold foil cardstock and stuck it into the negative on my card base, filling in the holes with the die cut pieces from the white cardstock.
Finally I die cut the two deer from the Pocket Page: Winter die set by Top Dog Dies, and stuck them down on a gathering of black metallic thread using foam adhesive. Lastly I added some black sequins to embellish the card.
I’ll still be using the super cute dies by Top Dog Dies, even though they are no longer in business, however, there are lots of really great products that are similar available from different manufacturers, if you are looking to create something similar to this.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
