Just wanted to pop in today and say Happy Easter! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend with your families and loved ones, and don’t eat too much chocolate!
We have a nice long weekend here in Australia, both Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays, so we have a nice long break from work. I don’t have much planned this weekend, which is nice. On Saturday afternoon I’m going to the football (the new footy season started last week and it’s my team’s first home game of the season – I’m also a member and LOVE the West Coast Eagles to death!) so I’m looking forward to that, but other than that I might just do things around the house and venture into the craft room.
Anyway, here is a quick card I created to wish you all a Happy Easter.
I stamped the background of eggs using watermark ink onto my kraft card base. I then stamped the sentiment and the bunny using black StazOn ink. Next I stamped the bunny again onto some white cardstock before cutting it out and paper piecing it to my card base. I covered the bunny in glossy acccents to give it some shine before adding an adhesive pearl for its nose. For the buttons on the card I used the striped star clear stamp from the Year Round Sentiments stamp set to subtley stamp some strips on each button using white StazOn ink. Once they dried I then threaded some yellow twine through them, and adhered them to my card using glue dots.
Well it’s time for me to go and get some housework done before we head off to lunch with my family. What plans do you have this Easter weekend?
Thanks for checking in and have a wonderful Easter!
