Did you all have a wonderful weekend? The girls and I were in Manjimup with my family for the weekend so it was nice and relaxing and great to catch up with everyone.
With Father’s Day coming up soon, I thought I would use the current MFT Sketch Challenge sketch to create a Father’s Day card for my dad using the Tool Charms die set as well as a couple of other MFT dies. Here is the sketch:
Being a farmer, my dad is really good with DIY and tools so I knew this die set would be perfect for a card for him.
I started by trimming down some grey cardstock to stick over my card base, before creating a smaller white panel of cardstock to go over the top. That way it looks like I have a grey border around the white panel on my card base.
Using the Stitched Strip die-namics, I then die cut one side of my white panel as per the sketch. I then die cut the tool charms from some silver and red foil cardstock before assembling them together and then sticking down onto my card base in place of the circle on the sketch.
Using the uppercase High-Rise die-namics I then die cut my ‘dad’ sentiment and also stuck them onto my card base using adhesive foam. Finally I then embellished the card with some matching coloured enamel dots.
I can’t wait to see what dad thinks of this on Father’s Day!
Have a wonderful day.
