How have you all been? Sorry I’ve been MIA lately, my girls started Kindy last week so I have been getting all organised for that and getting into a new routine! I will now have more time to create and post now that they’ll be at school a few days a week so the blog will finally be back to regular postings!
Yesterday, I created a floral thanks card using some beautiful MFT Stamps products for their weekly sketch challenge, but unfortunately ran out of time to get this post up before the deadline, but I’ll share the card with you all anyway. You can see the sketch here.
Using the Modern Blooms set I stamp layered some flowers in orange and peach colours before sticking them to my card base using adhesive foam. I then die cut the Thanks sentiment from some gold foil before sticking it to the top of the flowers and embellishing the card with some clear droplets by Pretty Pink Posh.
This was a super quick and easy CAS card to create and I love the soft colours and how it turned out.
Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today.
Today I’m sharing the last of the Thank You cards for the recent custom order I had for a friend.
The bride wanted a pink and gold colour theme for thank you cards for her mum and soon to be mother-in-law. Adding some glitter for a bit of sparkle I came up with this CAS floral card.
To create this card I decided to bunch the floral die cut elements together starting with a vellum leaf on the bottom. I then layered the flowers to the top before embellishing them with rhinestones and adding some pink glitter enamel dots to tie it all together.
I love how this card turned out and I hope the mums enjoy them!
Thank you for stopping by!
I hope you are having a great week so far? I was supposed to have this post up yesterday but spent most of the day sorting things out around the house, I ended up being too tired by the time the girls went to bed!
Anyway, I had a recent custom order for some thank you cards for a friend’s wedding. One part of the order was for thank you cards for the bridesmaids, and this is the card I created for her.
I found the cute image of the bride and bridesmaid from Shutterstock and I re-coloured the bridesmaid as per the colours of the actual bridesmaid dresses. I then cut the images out using my Silhouette machine and added some rhinestone embellishments. To make the bride stand out a bit more I then covered her dress and vail with clear Wink of Stella for some shimmer.
Finally I added some matching coloured embellishments around the pair, which I stuck to my card base using adhesive foam for a bit of height and definition.
I love how this turned out and I hope the bridesmaids loved them! I can’t wait to find out!
Stop by again for the sweet thank you cards I created for the bride’s mum and mother-in-law. I’ll share those real soon!
Thank you for stopping by and have a great night!
And happy Tuesday! Today I thought I would pop in and share a card with you all that I created as a kind of thank you card for my mum.
Using the layout of my Rose Congratulations card I posed here, I decided to keep the style pretty much the same but just changed up the sentiment.
Again I used the fun Modern Blooms set by MFT Stamps for this card, together with the Wonky Stitched Circle Stax. For my sentiment though I used the Mum stamp by Skull & Cross Buns. It’s really hard to find some really good Mum stamps (as opposed to Mom) here so when I stumbled upon this store it definitely made my day! The font of it is gorgeous and it stamps beautifully. Be sure to check out their stamps. They are all handmade and gorgeous.
Anyway, after putting the card together, I finished it by embellishing it with some clear droplets and coloured sparklets for the flower centres.
I can’t wait to see mum’s reaction!
Thank you for stopping by and have a fabulous night!
It’s Thursday again so that means it’s time for a new Taylored Expressions Share Joy Challenge!
This week we have a sketch/and or Tic Tac Toe challenge for you to play along with. You can choose to play with either of the challenge elements or both. It’s totally up to you!
This week I chose to play along with the Tic Tac Toe part of the challenge using the combination of flowers, blue and ink splatter to create a sweet Thank You card for a good friend of mine.
To create this card I started off by stamping my sentiment onto my card base before stamping the flowers from the Fresh Florals stamp set and the Friendship Blooms stamp set on to a separate piece of cardstock before die cutting them out. After I worked out where I wanted the flowers arranged I stuck them down to my card using adhesive foam. To add some ink splatters to my card I used a small stamp from the Stroke of Genius 2 stamp set and some silver ink. Finally I then embellished the card with some blue sequins from the Build a Scene sequin mix.
If you would like to play along with us this week, stop by the Share Joy Challenge blog for more DT inspiration and all the details.
Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!
