And Happy New Year to you all! Hopefully you all had a wonderful Christmas break and New Year’s celebration. I know this post is about 4 days late but this time of the year is always hectic for us! The girls had their 4th birthday just 3 days before Christmas, then Christmas itself, together with New Years, things have been pretty crazy around here for us, so I haven’t had much time to catch up on computer work! And then yesterday, my new gorgeous baby nephew was born! So it’s been busy and exciting times here!
Anyway, I put together a fun shaker card to wish you all a wonderful and happy new year, so here it is…
To create this card I started off by printing out the ‘new year’ part of my sentiment onto a piece of white cardstock, before die cutting the ‘happy’ sentiment from some gold foil and sticking it above. Next I die cut and assembled the champagne shaker glass using the Raise Your Glass die set by Taylored Expressions. I then filled the glass with sequins from the Wedding mix (also by Taylored Expressions), before sticking down a couple of loose sequins for extra embellishment.
Well, that’s all from me for today, but I hope you are all having a wonderful start to the year so far.
Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful night!
Today I’m sharing the last of the Thank You cards for the recent custom order I had for a friend.
The bride wanted a pink and gold colour theme for thank you cards for her mum and soon to be mother-in-law. Adding some glitter for a bit of sparkle I came up with this CAS floral card.
To create this card I decided to bunch the floral die cut elements together starting with a vellum leaf on the bottom. I then layered the flowers to the top before embellishing them with rhinestones and adding some pink glitter enamel dots to tie it all together.
I love how this card turned out and I hope the mums enjoy them!
Thank you for stopping by!
I hope you are having a great week so far? I was supposed to have this post up yesterday but spent most of the day sorting things out around the house, I ended up being too tired by the time the girls went to bed!
Anyway, I had a recent custom order for some thank you cards for a friend’s wedding. One part of the order was for thank you cards for the bridesmaids, and this is the card I created for her.
I found the cute image of the bride and bridesmaid from Shutterstock and I re-coloured the bridesmaid as per the colours of the actual bridesmaid dresses. I then cut the images out using my Silhouette machine and added some rhinestone embellishments. To make the bride stand out a bit more I then covered her dress and vail with clear Wink of Stella for some shimmer.
Finally I added some matching coloured embellishments around the pair, which I stuck to my card base using adhesive foam for a bit of height and definition.
I love how this turned out and I hope the bridesmaids loved them! I can’t wait to find out!
Stop by again for the sweet thank you cards I created for the bride’s mum and mother-in-law. I’ll share those real soon!
Thank you for stopping by and have a great night!
Happy Hump Day! Today I’m popping in to share a cute Thank You card I created for a recent custom order.
A friend recently got married this past week and she asked me to create some thank you cards for her bridesmaids, flower girls, her mum and her new mother-in-law. Today’s card is the Thank You card that I created for her cute little flower girls.
Knowing young girls love fairies, I knew I had to use the sweet Pixie Dust stamp set by Avery Elle for this card.
I teamed them up with some die cut glitter and foil flowers as well as a vellum leaf to tie all the accents together. I then embellished the card with some pink rock candy by Queen & Co.
I can’t wait to find out what the flower girls thought of these fairy cards!
Have a wonderful day and enjoy the sunshine!
I hope your week has been great so far. Can you believe it has been a year of Share Joy Challenges this month?! The time has certainly flown by and I’ve had so much fun being apart of this wonderful design team and creating with Taylored Expressions gorgeous products.
Unfortunately this will be the last Share Joy Challenge as the challenge will now be monthly through the Taylored Expressions Newsletter. Be sure to keep a look out for it if you are a subscriber otherwise, subscribe now!
Well, onto our very last weekly challenge, and this week we have a sketch and/or Tic Tac Toe challenge for you all to play along with.
For my card I chose to use the sketch and create a fun Halloween card using the super cute Gone Batty stamp and die set.
I started off by cutting a strip of black patterned paper from the Playful Patterns – Haunted Paper Pack, and sticking it down onto my card base. Next I stamped and paper pieced my bats together using paper from the same paper pack. I then arranged them onto my card using adhesive foam. Finally I stamped on my sentiment and added some sequins from the Build A Scene: Halloween mix for embellishment.
I hope you all get a chance to play along with this challenge one last time. But be sure to check out the Taylored Expressions website for future challenges.
Have a great night and thank you for stopping by.
