Happy Wednesday. Today I have a fun birthday card to share with you all that I created with some new MFT Stamps products.
The new Once Upon a Time set is soo adorable and perfect for creating cards for kids. I know my girls both love princesses so I created this princess birthday card.
To create this card I started off by stamping and paper piecing both the castle and one of the princesses from the set. I then stuck them down to a panel of white cardstock which I had trimmed smaller than my card base. I then adhered the panel to my card base using adhesive foam, before die cutting out a fish tail, stamping my sentiment onto it and adhering it down to the front of my card. Finally I then embellished the card using matching coloured sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
I hope this card has inspired you today. Thank you for stopping by!
How have you all been? Sorry I’ve been MIA lately, my girls started Kindy last week so I have been getting all organised for that and getting into a new routine! I will now have more time to create and post now that they’ll be at school a few days a week so the blog will finally be back to regular postings!
Yesterday, I created a floral thanks card using some beautiful MFT Stamps products for their weekly sketch challenge, but unfortunately ran out of time to get this post up before the deadline, but I’ll share the card with you all anyway. You can see the sketch here.
Using the Modern Blooms set I stamp layered some flowers in orange and peach colours before sticking them to my card base using adhesive foam. I then die cut the Thanks sentiment from some gold foil before sticking it to the top of the flowers and embellishing the card with some clear droplets by Pretty Pink Posh.
This was a super quick and easy CAS card to create and I love the soft colours and how it turned out.
Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today.
Wow, I’m so sorry it’s been a while since I last posted! We have been flat-out working on getting all our landscaping done, as well as completing a few other house tasks before Christmas arrives! I’m happy to say everything is now all done, and our home is now complete, so I will be back to posting more frequently and crafting more!
With Christmas just a few weeks away, today I thought I’d share a cute Santa themed card that I created using the fun Santa stamp and die from the North Pole Pals set by Avery Elle.
After stamping and die cutting out the Santa image, I then stamped him again onto some cute patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs Inc, so that I could then paper piece it onto my die cut image. To create the fun snowfall background on my card, I cut a panel of cardstock the same size as my card base and die cut it using the Vertical Snowfall die by MFT Stamps. I then stamped my sentiment to the bottom part of the cardstock panel using a sentiment from the Season’s Greetings stamp set by Gina K Designs, before sticking the panel to my card base using adhesive foam. After colouring certain elements of the Santa in, I then stuck him onto my card base again using adhesive foam. Finally, I glued some white sequins to the card to add a bit more sparkle and embellishment.
I hope this card gives you some fun holiday inspiration! I have more Christmas cards to share this week, so check back soon.
And happy Tuesday! Today I thought I would pop in and share a card with you all that I created as a kind of thank you card for my mum.
Using the layout of my Rose Congratulations card I posed here, I decided to keep the style pretty much the same but just changed up the sentiment.
Again I used the fun Modern Blooms set by MFT Stamps for this card, together with the Wonky Stitched Circle Stax. For my sentiment though I used the Mum stamp by Skull & Cross Buns. It’s really hard to find some really good Mum stamps (as opposed to Mom) here so when I stumbled upon this store it definitely made my day! The font of it is gorgeous and it stamps beautifully. Be sure to check out their stamps. They are all handmade and gorgeous.
Anyway, after putting the card together, I finished it by embellishing it with some clear droplets and coloured sparklets for the flower centres.
I can’t wait to see mum’s reaction!
Thank you for stopping by and have a fabulous night!
I hope you are all having a great week so far? It feels like a while since I’ve popped in to share a post just for fun, but tonight I managed to find free time to create an entry for the MFT Stamps 2016 Card Design Superstar contest!
I chose to play with some of my favourite MFT products to create a CAS congratulations card perfect for an Engagement or Wedding, using the fun Modern Blooms stamp set.
To create my card I started off by die cutting a circle from the Wonky Stitched Circle Stax die set, and stamping my sentiment onto from the LJD Beautiful Baby stamp set. Next I stamp my leaves and flowers onto a spare piece of white cardstock before die cutting the images out. I then arranged them onto my wonky circle die cut and stuck them down with adhesive and foam. Finally I stuck the wonky circle down onto my card base using adhesive foam, and embellished it with some clear droplets.
I absolutely love how this turned out and I love layering those gorgeous flowers! It’s easy to tell why this is one of my favourite stamp sets!
Anyway, wish me luck and thank you so much for stopping by!
Have a wonderful night.
