Pastel Pegasus

Hi Everyone

Today I’m sharing with you all another card I created whilst away at the retreat two weeks ago.

I recently purchased the super fun Pegasus Duo stamp and die set by Avery Elle, that I just had to bring it with me and create something using those gorgeous Pegasus’!

I kept the card CAS and after stamping and die cutting out the Pegasus, I coloured its mane and tail in using three different light coloured Copic markers, to give it a pastel rainbow effect. I love how the colours worked together to create a fun whimsical effect to the Pegasus. I then added some shimmer to the wings and horn using a clear Wink of Stella maker, which you can see in the picture below.

I then added some die cut glitter clouds to my card, together with some rhinestone stars to finish off the magical feel of this card.

I absolutely love how this card turned out and I can’t wait to ink up that cute Pegasus again!  Keep an eye out for it soon!

Have a wonderful night.

Thinking of Bumble Bees!

Hello There!

I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far? It has finally decided to cool down here and it is a nice and overcast, rainy day, so I’m enjoying it!

I know it’s been a while since I last posted but that is because I spent the last week in Bright, Victoria on a craft retreat with some amazing girls! We had so much fun, lots of laughs and of course, plenty of card making took place so I have lots to share with you all in the coming weeks!

I then got home and got hit with a shocking virus that’s been going around, so I’m finally starting to feel better and thought I’d pop in and share a fun card I created while at the retreat with you all.

I finally got to meet one of my best online crafting friends, Joy Taylor from Simple by Design and I have to say she is just as sweet in person as she is online! I had the best time with her and she was nice enough to let me play with the new Bee Friends stamp and die set by Pretty Pink Posh while we were at the retreat. It’s such a cute little set, I ended up playing with it quite a bit!

I started off by stamping my sentiment from the set directly onto my card base before stamping and die cutting two of the cute bees onto some extra cardstock so that I could paper piece them together using the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots patterned paper pad by MFT Stamps.

Once the bees were complete I then placed them onto my card base so that I could then stamp the dotted lines behind them, before then sticking them down with some adhesive foam.

I then coloured their wings with a clear Wink of Stella glitter pen to give the cute bees some shimmer.  Here is a close up to show you the glittery wings:

Finally, Then stamped on a heart from the stamp set, and finished the card off by embellishing it with some Lemon Meringue sequins by Pretty Pink Posh.

I will be sharing some more cards I created whilst away at the retreat, so be sure to stay tuned!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Embossed Birthday Balloons

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are all having a great week so far? I’m currently in Bright in Victoria on the other side of Australia at a card making retreat with some very nice and super talented card makers! We are having so much fun and creating lots of great cards which I will be sharing with you all soon!

I thought I would quickly pop in and share with you all a birthday card I created for one of my best friends, my cousin Debbie, who had her 40th birthday last week. I wanted to create something sweet and simple for her but also using celebratory colours like silver and gold so I decided on some heat embossed balloons.

I started off by stamping and heat embossing the balloons from the It’s Your Birthday stamp set by Clearly Besotted with gold and silver embossing powder, before die cutting them out and sticking them onto my card base. I then stamped on my sentiment and finished off the card by embellishing it with some silver and gold glitter enamel dots.

I would love to know what you think?

Anyway, I better get back to some more card making, but will be back soon to share those creations with you all.

Have a great night!

Magical Princess

Hello There

Happy Wednesday. Today I have a fun birthday card to share with you all that I created with some new MFT Stamps products.

The new Once Upon a Time set is soo adorable and perfect for creating cards for kids. I know my girls both love princesses so I created this princess birthday card.

To create this card I started off by stamping and paper piecing both the castle and one of the princesses from the set. I then stuck them down to a panel of white cardstock which I had trimmed smaller than my card base. I then adhered the panel to my card base using adhesive foam, before die cutting out a fish tail, stamping my sentiment onto it and adhering it down to the front of my card. Finally I then embellished the card using matching coloured sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I hope this card has inspired you today. Thank you for stopping by!

Merry Christmas Shaker Card

Hi Everyone!

Only 6 more sleeps left until Christmas! I hope everyone is all ready for the big day? I managed to get the last of my present shopping out of the way on Saturday so I’m all up to date now and can concentrate on being back in the craft room!

Today, I have a fun CAS shaker card to share with you that I created using some fun Lawn Fawn products together with a snowflake die by Simon Says Stamp.

I started off by die cutting the word ‘merry’ from a panel of cardstock the same size as my card base before sticking some clear acetate to the back of it to form a window. Next I stamped on the ‘Christmas’ part of my sentiment before adding foam to the back of the panel and putting in some blue and white sequins before sticking the card base to the panel. Finally I die cut two snowflakes from some glitter cardstock in similar colours to that of the sequins, and glued that down to my card base along with some white sequins for embellishment.

I hope this gives you some shaker inspiration for your holiday cards! Enjoy the rest of your day and I will be back soon with some more holiday cards.
