I hope you are enjoying the day so far. Today has been relatively quiet here, so I grabbed some time in the craft room this afternoon and created a few cards.
One of those is this fun CAS style card for a new baby.
Using the sweet Petite Plushies stamp set by Clearly Besotted Stamps, I stamped and paper pieced the cute little giraffe from the set before adhering it with adhesive foam to my card base. I then stamped the sentiment below the image and embellished the card with some matching coloured enamel dots and some rhinestone stars.
Definitely a super quick and fun card to create. Time for me to go and get some rest, but I’ll be back soon with another card to share.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!
How is your week going so far? I’ve managed to get all my Christmas shopping done and out-of-the-way, so I can spend my free time creating more Christmas cards!
Today’s card I created last night using the super cute Pixie Dust stamp set by Avery Elle and pairing it with their North Pole Pals stamp set, to create some Christmas fairies.
I started off by stamping and paper piecing my fairies in traditional holiday colours, before colouring in the rest of their elements and adding clear glitter to their wings. Using the word ‘magical’ from of the Pixie Dust sentiments, I put it together with the other words from the North Pole Pals set to create my own custom sentiment. I then stuck the fairies down onto my card base with adhesive foam, before finally stamping on some silver snowflakes for a bit of embellishment.
I’ve linked up all the supplies I used below, but if you have any questions, just let me know.
Enjoy the rest of your day and happy holiday crafting!
I have another Christmas card to share with you all today, this one again using a sweet reindeer from the super cute North Pole Pals set by Avery Elle.
I created a little snowy scene for my paper pieced reindeer to rest on by cutting a panel of snowflaked patterned paper by Doodlebug, and a snowy little die cut hill. I then stamped the sentiment onto the bottom of the snowy hill and stuck the panel down onto my card base using adhesive foam. Once I had finished paper piecing the reindeer, I then stuck him down onto the scene using more adhesive foam. For a little bit more dimension on the card, I covered the reindeer’s nose in glossy accents to highlight it a bit, before finally adding some clear droplets to my background to look like falling snowflakes.
I seriously cannot get enough of this stamp set and those cute images! Be on the look out soon for more holiday cards featuring them.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a great night!
Wow, I’m so sorry it’s been a while since I last posted! We have been flat-out working on getting all our landscaping done, as well as completing a few other house tasks before Christmas arrives! I’m happy to say everything is now all done, and our home is now complete, so I will be back to posting more frequently and crafting more!
With Christmas just a few weeks away, today I thought I’d share a cute Santa themed card that I created using the fun Santa stamp and die from the North Pole Pals set by Avery Elle.
After stamping and die cutting out the Santa image, I then stamped him again onto some cute patterned paper from Doodlebug Designs Inc, so that I could then paper piece it onto my die cut image. To create the fun snowfall background on my card, I cut a panel of cardstock the same size as my card base and die cut it using the Vertical Snowfall die by MFT Stamps. I then stamped my sentiment to the bottom part of the cardstock panel using a sentiment from the Season’s Greetings stamp set by Gina K Designs, before sticking the panel to my card base using adhesive foam. After colouring certain elements of the Santa in, I then stuck him onto my card base again using adhesive foam. Finally, I glued some white sequins to the card to add a bit more sparkle and embellishment.
I hope this card gives you some fun holiday inspiration! I have more Christmas cards to share this week, so check back soon.
How has the week been so far?
It’s time again for a new Share Joy Challenge by Taylored Expressions, and this week we have a sketch and/or tic tac toe challenge for you all.
I chose to use the sketch for this week’s challenge and create a floral card to send to a really good friend of mine to let her know how much she means to me. I hope she likes it!
Keeping the theme clean and simple, I went with a plain colour scheme and only added colour in my stamped flowers, that way they seem to ‘pop’ off the card a little more.
After creating the strips of cardstock for my card base, I stuck them down with some adhesive foam for a bit of dimension. I then stamped my sentiment onto another panel of cardstock before gluing that down to my card. Next I stamped some flowers from the super cute Friendship Blooms stamp set, before die cutting them out using the matching dies, and arranging them onto my card. Finally I embellished the middle of each of the flowers with some matching enamel dots.
If you are after some more inspiration for this week’s challenge, be sure to head over to the Share Joy Challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT’s gorgeous cards.
Have a wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!
