Black & Gold 50th

Hi There

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours wasn’t to busy, and the hubby and I went out for dinner on Saturday night to a great new German bar and restaurant in the city. Our first date night together (minus the girls) in a long time! We had a great time and the food was soo yummy!

The card I have to share with you all today is one that I created really quickly at the last-minute for my mum who was going to a 50th birthday party on the weekend. If I had more time I would have created something more detailed but this turned out great and was so easy and fast to make. Definitely the perfect last-minute card!

Black & Gold 50th Card

I used some black and gold confetti patterned paper from the My Mind’s Eye Record It – Charmed 6 x 6 paper pad, which I cut down to size and adhered to a plain white card base. I then stamped on the Let’s Celebrate sentiment from Hero Arts‘ It’s Your Day clear stamp set.

To personalise the card and add a bit more bling to it, I then used some American Crafts DIY Thickers for the ’50’ part of the sentiment, which I covered in fine gold glitter. I then shook of any excess glitter and stuck the thickers to my card base, and that was it!

It’s now time for me to go and grab an early lunch before my little monkeys wake up, so thank you for stopping by.

Have a great day.
